A current and up-to-date twist on the fairy tale classic, Rapunzel's Revenge invigorates new life into the magic tale. Rapunzel is raised in a lush villa surrounded by anything she could ever want, but it was enclosed by a towering wall. She had never been allowed to leave the villa, so on her twelfth  birthday she escaped to the outside. She observes the bleak existence around, and discovers she had been taken from her mother when she was small. After confronting her captor, Rapunzel is brought into the woods and imprisoned at the top of a towering tree. The growth magic in the forest allowed her hair to grow at rapid speed, so she used it to her advantage to escape.On her quest to find her way back to the villa and rescue her birth mother, she meets Jack. Jack becomes her knight and companion, and together they exact revenge. Written as a graphic novel with humor and wit, boys and girls alike are inclined to enjoy this story. Rapunzel's search for truth, protection of family and correcting wrongs capture the essence of human nature and hook the reader.
