Twitter is a
social media tool that enables people to connect by sending out Tweets. It
allows people to share information that is important to them in short snip-its.
You can add links, photos and videos to Tweets to extend the information being
sent out. People use Twitter to connect with friends, to follow the lives of
people they are interested in or admire and to network with experts and
professionals working in like fields. Twitter has an extensive educator
community including teachers, administrators, librarians and authors. Included
in this post are some of the leaders in education, educational technology and
libraries who have a strong active presence on Twitter.
